Making Tax Digital sorted – compliant and confident
Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax Self Assessment (ITSA) is a UK government initiative that aims to modernise and simplify the tax reporting process for individuals, businesses, and landlords. Under this system, taxpayers will be required to keep digital records and report their income and expenses more regularly—on a quarterly basis—rather than waiting until the end of the year to file their tax returns.
The goal of MTD for ITSA is to make the tax process more efficient, reduce errors, and increase accuracy by moving away from paper-based methods and manual reporting. This means that if you’re self-employed or a landlord the following applies:
Keep Digital Records
Submit Quarterly Updates
Final Year-End Declaration
At Nene Valley Accountants we can offer simple Xero licences at a discounted rate that either the client or we can file quarterly returns straight to HMRC. Contact us to find out more.
